The Asking Price

 What we need
The earth shall provide
Then they tax the land
Sell it to the corporation offering the most
Above asking
The area of space the earth has to provide
Becomes infinitesimal
Not instantly
But over time
A slight
Slow
Toxic
Extinction
Failed attempts at recreation
Memories
Pervert the original design
Sacred geometry
They wouldn’t present that way if they weren’t meant to
And if they wanted to be different
It would be by their own hand
So
We give up the work
Allow dis ease to set in
We walk with our heads hung
When once we held them high
As if they were too heavy
And a burden
To bear
Bullied into food insecurity
Because we’re didn’t have enough money
For the imaginary asking price
How sad
What a shame
