The breath of God

I am not a sheep

Waiting to be led

I am not an ingrate

Waiting to be fed 

I am the breath of God 

Eternal instead

I am much more

Than the thoughts in my head

The problem isn’t Monday 

Or that you haven’t had your coffee

The problem isn’t the job you took 

But won’t quit to get one you enjoy

The problem isn’t everybody around you

And your judgement of their intellect and choices 

In comparison to your own

The problem isn’t the price of gas

Or who’s leading the country

The problem isn’t the injustices of the world 

Or heterosexual white male privilege

The problem isn’t having to wait

In line

In traffic

On hold

The problem isn’t how healthy others are 

And how sick you feel

The problem is you think there’s actually a problem

right now

Sleeping

Naked

Blanket

Fan

Window

Blowing

Cool

Reaching out (a reminder)

There was no working it out

You go your way

I go mine

The end

Abrupt finality

Choices

Rather than moving beyond the ego

We welcomed it

Invited it to destroy the life force we were creating

The simple selfish act of Self deprivation

Defense

Attack

War

Ravaged the beauty that was set

So deep within

New beginnings are always welcome

So work through the suffering on your own

I’ll be around 

Release

Thoughts float away

Like paper boats on a gentle stream

Even the mist thins

All that we are is vibrational energy

Beams of light

Embodied in the material plane

There is nothing to seek

Gravity cannot weigh us down

We are the breath of God

Eternal
